General info

A colorful nudibranch snail found among the tentacles of the upside jellyfish Cassiopea. Up to 10 well-camouflaged Dondice nudibranchs can be found preying on the tissue of each jellyfish. The nudibranchs are famous for kleptocnidae, a process where digested unfired nematocysts from the stinging tentacles of the jellyfish travel through the alimentary tract without harming the nudibranch, instead they are incorporated in the cerata of the nudibranch as a defensive weapon against predators.
